Alpha Course Continues

Every Thursday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. is the Alpha Course. What is Alpha? Good question!
Alpha is for:
Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Adults of all ages      are welcome.
Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and to have       fun at the same time.
People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and make new     friends.
Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during talks.
Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is seen as too simple or too                   hostile.
Alpha is an 11 week class that focus certain elements of the Christian faith each week. On week 6, there is a retreat to Cathedral Pines for the weekend!
There will be dinner, music, fellowship, prayer, video clips and small group talks!*
*Child care will be available.

Upcoming Cathedral Pine Dates

Summer church camp is a great time for children and youth to unplug from the world and be surrounded by God’s Presence. We as a community have a great facility where our youth can go to and experience that. Cathedral Pines Baptist  Camp has been providing a place for children/youth to reconnect with god for over 90 years now.

There are many things pulling  families in every direction. If we as a congregation are going to utilize camp for our ministries, we are going to have to “put our money where our mouth is” and sponsor kids to get there.

Please pray about what your part is in this great ministry.

Summer Camp Dates:

May 1st: Early Bird Registration Due

June 1st: Registration Due

June 24-29: Jr/Jr. High Camp

July 8-13: Sr. High Camp

August 5-9: Middler Camp

Come and Meet Our New Pastor!

Andy Paz has become our new pastor since August 2011. 

Pastor Andy Paz was born in Denville, New Jersey and was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has his BS from Pillsbury Bible College, Awatonna, Minnesota and was Ordained in the Anchor Baptist Church in Salt Lake City in 1992. He has served as an assistant pastor in Anchor Baptist Church, SLC, UT; Pastor and church planter in Gateway Baptist Church, Folsom, California; Associate Pastor and then Senior Pastor in Fairway Park Baptist Church in Hayward, California and American Heritage Christian School in the same church. Most recently he served as interim pastor for Faith Baptist Church, Burley, ID.

Andy and his wife Nicola were married on August 26, 1989 in Twin Falls Idaho. They have three children: Ethan, Lauren & Sydnie. They now reside in Kimberly Idaho.

We are grateful to have him join our church family and believe Pastor Andy will help our church grow and minister to the city of Filer.

You are welcome to join us on a Sunday morning to our Worship Service to meet Pastor Andy. Our service begins at 10:45 a.m. Refreshments and coffee begins at 10:30 a.m.
