Welcome to Filer, Idaho’s First Baptist Church which has been serving people since 1915. This vibrant and very active congregation is now in its ninetieth year of history. Since 1982, we have been located in a modern facility located right on U.S. Highway 30, across from the Filer Middle School.
Filer First Baptist is a very active congregation of about 200 people. We offer many opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, service and community. Our Sunday Morning Worship Service starts at 10:45 a. m. and includes excellent music, a message from the Bible and an inviting atmosphere of warmth and community. We have several visitors worshipping with us almost every Sunday. We also offer Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults at 9:30 a. m. every Sunday of the year.
During the school year from September to May we offer Bible Club for pre-school through elementary school children from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays. The Youth Program called Team Eternity meets on two different nights. The Junior High youth program meet Wednesday nights at 7:00 and the Senior High School Youth Program Eternity meets on Sundays at 5:00pm.
During the school year we offer an afterschool program called KidZone that is a safe place for children to go after school to be watched by caring adults to play, participate in various activities and do homework.
There are monthly activities for the adults in our church. Also throughout the year we offer study groups that meet to learn about several different topics such as Christian finances, marriage building, leadership, child rearing and various bible study topics.
Every summer we send children and youth to Cathedral Pines Camp in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area for a week of Christian camping, we also use our camp during the rest of the year for various retreats and conferences.
So whether you are a spiritual seeker just starting to ask questions about God, or a committed Christian who wants to go deeper in your faith in Jesus Christ, you can find a home at Filer First Baptist Church. There is a place here for you to find authentic and enduring relationships with God and with others.
